Save Money With Avon: Become a Personal Shopper
73Love Avon?
If you are a person who loves Avon products but wants to save money on the cost of them, this article is for you. When a person signs on to become an Avon representative, not only do they earn money on what their customers buy from them, but they also save money on their own purchases. I used to be an Avon rep myself and got a lot of my items for personal and family use for free. And always at a discount if they weren't free. Avon does not penalize reps for having orders that are small. So if you want to save money on your own products, and make money as well, you can sign up to become an Avon representative and sell products to friends, family members, co-workers and new customers. But if you want to save money on your own products, you can also sign up the very same way, and still get discounts on your own items. This is called being a "Personal Shopper."This is a great way not only to save money, but when you combine the sales in the catalogs, with your discount, you can save even more money!
To sign up to become an Avon Rep, or a personal shopper, you can ask a friend who sells if you can sign up on their team. If you don't know anyone who is currently selling, you can go to www.avon.com and click on the link that says,"Become an Avon rep." You fill out a short information page with contact information and within a few days, someone will contact you. When they do, don't publicize that you just want to be a personal shopper. They used to promote signing on as a personal shopper, but not so much anymore because they want to encourage higher sales. Besides, you may want to share the deals with your friends and family. But honestly, as long as you meet the quotas to meet the discounts, you'll be fine. You will also get the chance to purchase items in advance of it coming into catalogs every order period, and if you hit the quotas on that ( currently $50 or more) you can save up to 40% on those new items.
To sign up you will need to:
1) Meet face to face with an Avon rep to go over paperwork ( usually takes 45 - 60 minutes)
2) Pay a $10 sign up fee.
3) Collect your starter kit which instructions on how to order online, etc. and your first set of catalogs.
And then you will be ready to place your orders. Orders go in online every 2 weeks. As long as you place an order of $50 ( book price) or more, every 6 weeks, you can stay on as a personal shopper, and enjoy a 20% discount on everything you order. The first 4 orders you can earn more of a percentage off on your orders if you reach certain amounts, but I will let Avon fill you in on all that. It is a good way to stock up on your Avon products though.
Are you thinking that $50 every 2 weeks, or the minimum requirement is every 6 weeks is too much money? Well, that will depend on what you order. If you love Anew products, you will reach that amount easily. The day cream moisturizer for Anew products runs anywhere from $30 - $38. That means with 1 item, you are almost there. There are special elixirs that have recently come out too, and those run as high as $59...with that one item, you have passed the minimum quota. Add some birthday or Christmas presents onto your orders, and it's no problem to reach that $50 mark for a 20% discount every time.
With the economic times the way they are, it makes sense to save money on everything we buy. Why not on your favorite Avon products?

I use to be an Avon rep and that was before I was retired. Now I don't go anywhere to sell the products.
If I get active in anything I will reconsider it. Thanks for the info.
